The Devenick Drinks Company Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (SC535988) hereafter described as “Devenick Drinks”.
By using our website, and placing your order with us, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as set out below. Use of any functionality of www.devenick-drinks.co constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions herein. Devenick Drinks reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notice at any time. Your continued use of this site after changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of the changes to these Terms and Conditions.
It is an offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 in the UK therefore you must be aged 18 or over to access our website and to purchase alcohol from Devenick Drinks. When accessing our website, ordering and making a payment you will be required to confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
If your order is a gift and contains alcohol, the recipient must also be aged 18 years or older. An adult over the age of 18 will be required to sign for delivery.
We aim to ensure the prices shown are correct. If an error does occur, we will make every effort to contact you to confirm if you would like to proceed with the order at the correct price.
While every effort is made to supply all items listed online, there are instances where this may not be possible. In these cases we will contact you and offer a substitute with the same or greater value.
We reserve the right to withdraw or replace products online without notice. Merchandise prices and specifications are also subject to change without notice.
Even where your payment is accepted by our systems, no contract shall exist until Devenick Drinks has dispatched the items to you.
Devenick Drinks will not be held responsible for any loss, consequential loss or damage to any individual or business which may have occurred from the use (or misuse) of any product or any information contained on this website.
All prices are inclusive of VAT.
Payment may be made using PayPal, Stripe or Credit/Debit card through our secure website.
Card payments are made through a secure server. Devenick Drinks does not store your financial details and your personal details are not passed to any third party other than your chosen payment vendor.
Payment will be taken at the time of ordering.
We aim to deliver your order within 3 working days (UK Standard Shipping) but cannot accept liability for any delay. Please allow longer for any deliveries out with Scotland.
Local Deliveries are carried out on THURSDAYS & FRIDAYS. Orders placed on any other days will be delivered on the next ‘Local Delivery’ day. Any order under the value of £10 is not eligible for Local Deliveries and will be shipped via UK Standard Shipping instead.
Deliveries must be signed for by a person of 18 years or older. If our couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request ID. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt.
We follow the challenge 25 policy and if you are fortunate enough to look under the age of 25, as per the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, our delivery driver will require a form of identification.
Only a passport or European Union photocard driving license will be accepted as valid forms of identification. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt.
Any costs associated with a failed delivery will be borne by the recipient.
It is the responsibility of the customer to report goods damaged in transit and Devenick Drinks shall not be liable to pay any compensation to you, other than any refund.
Customers accept responsibility for the safe storage and use of the products upon receipt.
Devenick Drinks will not be liable for any damage caused by customer mishandling.
Standard Returns Policy
If you have received a defective product then a full refund will be given. All goods must be returned in their original packaging. In the event of defective goods, the customer will also have shipping costs reimbursed. The customer may have to arrange delivery of the products back to us at Devenick Drinks but will be reimbursed after the goods are inspected by us if applicable.
If the products are seen to be damaged on delivery then please make our delivery driver aware. You are perfectly entitled to refuse to accept damaged deliveries and entitled to a like for like swap or refund, whichever is preferable.
If there is a problem with your order or items are faulty, please contact us immediately. This must be done within 24 hours of receiving the goods.
We cannot accept responsibility for delivery failure if an incorrect address, postcode or incorrect contact telephone number is provided. Please check this information when placing your order. This may delay delivery and can lead to additional delivery costs for you.
These Online Sales Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with Scots law. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
