Devenick Drinks Co. was founded by Andy and Bryan, who built the business alongside full-time careers.

What began as a love for craft beer has grown into one of the best-known names on the North East’s craft drinks scene, championing local producers, independent brewers and premium spirits. Starting as a purely online business, we soon expanded into farmers’ markets and events before establishing a home in Chapelton, Aberdeenshire. There, we launched our first craft bottle shop, followed shortly afterwards by The Gatehouse Taproom– Scotland’s smallest micropub.

The Gatehouse has since become what many locals describe as the heart of the community: a welcoming place where great drinks and great people come together.

In 2026, we expanded our portfolio through the acquisition of Twice Buried Rum Co., an Aberdeenshire producer specialising in award-winning Spiced Botanical Rum. Having championed the brand at our taproom from the beginning, the acquisition was a natural next step – giving us an exciting foothold in Scotland’s growing craft spirits market.
